Stilfontein at a glance
Stilfontein is situated 135 km South West of Johannesburg and 370km North East of Kimberly along the N12 Treasure Route.
Stilfontein had its claim to fame for being a mining town with now almost 20 000 inhabitants, situated between Klerksdorp and Potchefstroom in North West Province of South Africa.
Stilfontein hosts an annual Rose Festival in spring when the famous Stilfontein roses bloom.
These days, this lovely town has become more and more popular with first time buyers, as it is situated close to Klerksdorp where most people find employment. As there is hardly any traffic or E-tol, it offers a quick 15 minute drive to work. Stilfontein also offers its own taxi rank at the Civic Centre also making it accessible to workers reliable on public transport.
With the NEW Matlosana Mall, it even has more attraction as the Mall is a wonderful stop on the way home, and offers shopping until 7pm during the week.
Stilfontein not only offers good schools, including a well know private Christian school, it offers affordable housing between R 430 000 – R 600 000, and a variety of quality homes in the price range from R 700 000 to R 1.3 million. What people thought would become a ghost town, could not be further from the truth, as most property sales for many agencies take place in Stilfontein.
